The Benner Township Water Authority was granted funds to complete upgrades to our water system through the PA Department of Community & Economic Development (DCED). This effort was supported and endorsed by PA Representative Paul Takac, which positioned our Authority to be successful in the grant application.
The upgrades for the Grove Park Water System will include replacement of the high service pumps that maintain system pressure within the community. Additionally, we will add a radio telemetry system that will notify the operators immediately if there are any problems associated with water production at the well house.
The work to replace the high service pumps is planned to commence on July 8, 2024 with completion on or before July 12, 2024. During this time, you may experience temporary low water pressure. Also, the fire hydrants will be bagged and be inoperable during this time. We have notified the Centre County 911 Center and local fire companies so they are prepared in case of an emergency.
If there are any questions, please contact our Authority office at 814-355-4778.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while we complete this work.
